Most of the time kids get toys as gifts during birthdays, Christmas or just by behaving or doing well in school. Parents are usually having a hard time trying to keep all of these toys, the problem: no space. We can't just throw them away to give way to the new batch, right? If you don't want those toys to go to the trash bin, then here are some effective tips for those moms who wanted to have some free space in the playroom.
1. Teach your kids the value of recycling - if you or your kids doesn't have the heart to see those cuddly bear and toy trains to just be thrown away then recycle it. Give them to friends or relatives with younger kids. Toys that were already outgrown by your children like educational toys and stuffed ones will surely interest some other kids. It will be more rewarding to see someone excited with these hand-me-down toys.

2. Teach them the value of money - although most of the toys were gifts, you still have to explain to your kids that money was spent. Tell your kids to sell them and the money that will be collected can be used either for a new toy that they want or for school stuffs. This way you are already training them the value of every penny spent. You can either put a garage sale or you can sell it online. Imagine old toys that is no longer produced by the manufacturer, and you have it! Selling it online will attract more buyers.
3. Teach them the value of sharing to less fortunate kids - perhaps the best and most noble solution will be to donate them to charitable institutions. We all know that not all families have the means to buy toys for their kids. These less fortunate families would rather spend their money for food than anything else. And since it is out of the budget giving them some of the old toys will mean a lot for them. Besides, this will be the perfect opportunity to teach your kids the value of giving. Isn't it also nice to see the spark in someone else's eyes? The same spark that you saw when your kid got these toys.
These are some effective ways of what you can do with those old toys. You will be able to free up some playroom space and at the same time teach your kids some valuable lessons that will not only mold them as they grow but will allow them to play an important role in someone else's life as well.
